RMS Carpathia - Giclee prints
Built in 1903 for Cunard's trans-Atlantic route, RMS Carpathia is best known for its role in rescuing survivors from the Titanic disaster. Arriving on scene on in the early hours of the morning she was alerted to the surviver's position by distress flares. She picked up 703 of Titanic's 2,206 passengers, returning immediately to New York.
Carpathia was sunk by a German 'U' Boat on 17 July 1918 near the Bishop Rock Lighthouse.
